I've always been into bracelets.
For some reason, if someone would ask me what gift I'd want, first thing that would spill out from my mouth are bracelets. It is indeed something subconscious. I do not intend to collect bracelets but my fascination for them seems to be leading into that direction.
I have been given bracelets by my friends many times and luckily they know exactly what type I'd actually wear. So far, no one has failed yet in discerning my taste. There are a lot of bracelets out there but only a few really catches my fancy. If I see something I want, I go for it.
It has been more than a year or two when I first saw the Reminder bracelets Bianca Gonzales wore on her wrist. They were leather bracelets that had metal plates with word engravings. I wanted them for myself the moment I saw them. The only problem was, I did not know where she got them from.
A few months ago, my good friend Pax posted on her blog a set of bracelets called Charity bracelets she acquired during one of her trips to Singapore. When I saw them, I wanted them for myself as well. I messaged Pax that I wanted the same bracelets but I was too late, she was already to leave Singapore bound for Manila then.
There is a saying that if you want something so badly, the world will conspire for your benefit. I've always been a firm believer of this. Whether it be with life in general or with the most trivial of things - like bracelets.
A few days ago, Pax went back to Singapore and before I could even remind her of the Charity bracelets, she has thought of it already. Now, I have them.
Last week, I was talking to a friend over the phone and we ended up talking about bracelets. I told her about the Reminder bracelets that I've always wanted but never knew where to get from. Being a really good friend, she researched about them in the internet and she was able to find where to get them. Now, I have them too.
The Reminder bracelets I got were not the exact designs Bianca had. Although the bracelets she had were also available, I went with these designs for I found them more appealing. Also, there was an array of reminder words to choose from engraved on the plates. If only I am patient enough, I could have opted to have the words personalized but it would take three days. I cannot wait that long. There was also an assortment of cuffs available (leather, thread, or rubber) as well as plate finish (copper or silver, matte or chrome, rectangular or heart-shaped) and fonts.
*The Charity bracelets are from Rubi, Singapore and the Reminder bracelets are from The Bead Shop. I got my Reminder bracelets from the Mega Mall branch. The Bead Shop in Mega Mall is located at the 3rd floor, Building A (infront of the Cinemas).
