The Beast in Me

Today, I've decided to be bolder and more daring. This is it! No point in being reluctant and have inhibitions anymore. I have to embrace this new look and I have to make the most out of it. I started safe but now I'm starting to give a little more edge! I wonder how far I could go? I know this is still quite tamed compared to others but I'm taking skips instead of leaps.

This Zara pants has a zipper detail on the right leg that goes diagonal towards the middle

I'm really digging the Wingtip details of this pair

I actually went to SM Megamall today looking like this. I had to go to Yabu: The House of Katsu because I will be working on something with them this coming March for you guys so watch out for it!

Yabu: The House of Katsu

Today, I finally dined at Yabu: The House of Katsu, the first authentic Japanese katsu restaurant in the Philippines. I must admit, I was really excited about eating here since a lot of people in the blogosphere and twitterdom have been raving about it. Now, I am a fan too.

I had the Rosu Set and my friend had the Chicken Set. For appetizers, we had Tofu and Potato Salad. The difference is really in the meat they use - always fresh and never frozen resulting in a katsu that is so soft in the inside and very crisp on the outside.

A 90 g. piece is more than enough for one person since the set comes complete with miso soup, Japanese rice, Japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage, and a bowl of fruit. They cook all their meat in 100% canola oil - talk about being healthy.

For the complete Yabu experience, a bowl of sesame seeds were given to us before our katsu sets were served to grind and be mixed with the katsu sauce. The aroma of freshly ground sesame seeds is really appetizing.

Having Chef Kazuya Takeda of Tonkatsu Takeshin (Tokyo) as Yabu's consultant, all of Yabu's katsu is sure to be delicious and perfect.

the cutlet literally melts in your mouth

We ended our Yabu experience with complimentary ice cream. The servers were generous enough to offer us free ice cream for dessert. Who would resist, right?
