Yesterday was my first day of school at FIP. I am taking up a short course on Fashion Merchandising and just after one session, I am diggin' it BIGTIME!
Yesterday's topic was Trends. I cannot believe the overload so much information I learned just from the first lecture. I cannot wait for the other lectures - ecstatic.
After class, we were given our first task by our instructor, Mr. Tipu Maqbool, to head out to the mall (Shangrila Mall) and look for three trends we see (so much for my "must-avoid-malls-until-sale-is-over" mantra). We must only base the trends from what we see in stores specifically in Shangrila. I kind of like had a hard time doing this since almost all stores are on end-of-season sale and next season's collections are not yet completely out. Im going to give this task another shot within this week.
Since I've already violated my desperate mantra, I decided to go to Podium. I just wanted to take a peek (yeah, right!) at Topman and in 158 Designer's Boulevard. Good thing I did!
