Romancing the Red Tape

Today, I had to go to Pasig City Hall to apply for this year's Health ID. When HR told me that it is due this Friday, I sort of panicked because I will be attending the Off Price Show on Friday and on Thursday I will be attending the Get Sole event so the only time I could go for the ID is today or tomorrow. As per feedback from other officemates, you would at least need two days for the whole process! What?!?!?! First day being for the medical examination and second day being for the results, seminar, and release of ID. We all know how government offices are. As expected, the queue was 'effin ridiculous - red tape at its finest! One separate queue for the initial form to be filled out, another queue for the cashier, then another queue for the x-ray, another for the encoding of information, and it goes on and on and on. To cut things short, there is basically a queue for each step - what a waste of time, energy, and man power.

Anyway, I was debating with myself on how I shall proceed with the situation - I was thinking if I should throw a fit or should I just play Mr. Nice Guy. I decided to play Mr. Nice Guy and be my most charming self. Well guess what, it worked wonders! Hahaha. I finished EVERYTHING in less than a day! All I had to do was keep smiling, do small chitchat with the staff, explain how I am such in a rush, and cross my fingers that my charm will work and breeze me through the red tape! It did. Hahahaha. I feel kinda bad though for those who got stuck with the whole two day process. Well, I guess all I can do is apologize here in my humble blog (desperate times call for desperate measures!)

So here's what I wore today. I have a feeling that my hair had a lot to do with today's "Romancing the Red tape". LOL.

denim jacket - Dry Black
tank - Zine
pants - Topman
socks - Topman
shoes - Energie
necklace - EMO
bracelet - Topman
watch - Nixon

  1. Haha. Congrats! Now that I have a shaved head, I experience the complete opposite. Old ladies give me death stares and young ladies laugh. Hay.
